WATERCOLOR MUSEUM - Azuma, Japan, 2001
This museum was designed for a competition in honor of Tomihiro
Shi-Ga Poetry and Water Color. There are two facilities designed, one being the museum,
the other being a resource center for the museum and people of Azuma as well as for
international visitors. The design is unique to the site and landscape of the village.
The design's follow the curvilinear beauty of flowing water color as if the local Bay
had washed up the color and prose and forms of the Shi-GA Facilities onto the landscape
itself.
