TRANSPORTATION FACILITY - Phoenix, AZ, 2000
This project reshapes and rethinks American transportation systems, using Phoenix, AZ as a case study. The project began with a study of current transportation systems and needs in most major cities. By connecting people via bus, car, parking, rail systems and "people movers", to a new central multi-level transportation hub, cities will progress. The goal of the design is to conserve fuel, minimize congestion and traffic, maintain personal levels of freedom, as well as spear head cultural and business development. A new American culture can emerge, not of individuals free to waste as much fuel as they like, but of communities who can share in the daily ritual of mobility and technology.
