ART FACILTY - Care Free, Arizona, 2001 This facility is a creative center for artists and designers. It is based on the notion that individuals work, live and create together. They share natural resources, as well as become assets for the community. The program consists of artist "live-work" studios, professional offices, community and multi purpose spaces as well as green space. The prototype design is based on solar orientation, and each building or section of the property is oriented along a ray of light and thus a shared stream of inspiration. Collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams form the basis of successful projects and the architecture of space is a combination of well choreographed visual, auditory and sensual experiences. |
